  1. Hmm … so this is basically a conversion of diff to JavaScript?
How would we put this to use? After all, TW does not retain tiddler revisions – or is that in the cards for a future version?

Also, where do dig this kinda stuff up all the time?

  2. That’s right, the ‘diff’ capability will let us show changes when we keep old revisions of tiddlers (which is on the cards). With the ‘patch’ capability, though, we’ve got the tools we’d need for automagically rippling updates as two people edit the same tiddler (like Writely and Google Docs do). The ‘match’ capability would give us a better fuzzy search operation.

I use an RSS reader to track a few dozen blogs; this came from Simon Willison’s link log – highly recommended for geeky stuff.

  4. Thanks for this JR! I recently implemented a php based diff into MTS, to allow conflict management. Doing this in JS, will save an extra trip to the server!
