Blogtalk Reloaded

with one comment

I’m just back from Vienna where I spoke at BlogTalk Reloaded under the title “Why Wiki? A glimpse at our post-document future”.

In retrospect I think I should probably have done my standard TiddlyWiki story+demo talk; instead, I tried to fit in with the other papers that I’d seen through being on the steering comittee by addressing a thesis. As it turned out, as part of the Q&A I ended up doing an impromptu demo anyway, that seemed to go better than my talk. There’s a video of the talk itself, but it doesn’t include that demo. And it doesn’t include the slides, which makes it tricky to follow…

  1. Hi Jeremy,

I enjoyed your talk and meeting you in Vienna. It pointed me back to TiddlyWiki. I had looked at it in the fall of 2004, back when I was looking for a personal use wiki. You had to save the html source then by hand after your edits. In stead I installed a webserver, dbase server and WikkaWiki on my laptop, still my personal tool today.

I’ll add TiddlyWiki to my list of demo-stuff when I talk to others about augmenting their personal information-strategies with tools.
